About Sharon Rosen

I have been an avid self-care advocate for over 30 years, prompted by a desire to find better ways of dealing with some chronic health issues. It has been a process of learning how to listen to my body, take charge of my own health and wellness, and develop a better relationship with myself on all levels. When I combined that journey with an innate desire to help other people feel better, the Heart of Self-Care was born!

I received my BA in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University in 1981, with an emphasis in social sciences, followed by a series of uninspiring jobs. Then, in 1986, I consciously stepped onto a path of spiritual discovery and took my first bodywork training in Shiatsu “just because it interests me.” Little did I know that it would change the course of my life by bringing me to a new career path and a total change of lifestyle.

After graduating from the North Jersey Massage Training Institute in 1987 with certification in Shiatsu and Swedish massage, I happily developed a thriving private practice in massage therapy. Many more bodywork trainings followed, as well as a two-year course in Gestalt therapy to understand more fully how our emotions live in our tissues.

My deepening interests in spiritual healing led me to become a Reiki Master/Teacher in 1998. And my desire to weave my Jewish faith more fully into my spiritual path led me to study Integrated Kabbalistic Healing® with Jason Shulman through his three year intensive program at A Society of Souls. Kabbalah helps anyone of any faith (or lack thereof) to understand intimately how healed and whole we always already are, in spite of --and along with -- our very human foibles and challenges.

My study and training in so many aspects of holistic health, spirituality, and balanced living enable me to help others on many levels, from the physiological stress of a muscle spasm to the emotional and spiritual quest of those looking for deeper levels of inner peace and connection with their Source. My work focuses on the qualities of simplicity, balance, compassion and humor, and I take great joy in helping people learn to live more lightly in their bodies and spirits.

I hope that your time spent exploring my site has given you a chance to pause, breathe, reflect, and connect to your own inner wisdom and ease.

In today's world, the search for true meaning and real satisfaction is fraught with frustrations and disappointments.

But through my experiences with Sharon and Kabbalistic Healing, I have realized a unification of the urges and endeavors of my heart, mind and spirit, and moved toward great joy, peace and an abundant enjoyment of life.
